Sonic Superstars: Lea Michele and Clarisonic
Actress Lea Michele, star of the surprise smash Glee, said in an interview with MARKTBeauty:
I can’t travel without “My Clarisonic, my face wash and my moisturizer.” When asked why she shared that “When I started using this after I saw Kate Somerville about a year ago, I saw such a change in my skin. It’s amazing.”

Clarisonic Supports Look Good…Feel Better
Clarisonic has had the privilege of teaming up with some amazing organizations to help in the fight against breast cancer and in support of breast cancer research. Now Clarisonic is honored to support Look Good…Feel Better, a national public service program that helps women with breast and other cancers manage their treatment and recovery with renewed spirit and greater confidence.

Stay tuned for the release of the new Clarisonic “Hope is Beautiful” Mia – a portion of the proceeds will go to support Look Good…Feel Better. On June 23rd we welcomed the Sonic Chatter blog into the world with a blogger event at Spa Scotta in Seattle, WA. Roughly thirty bloggers from around the Seattle area came out and enjoyed mini spa treatments, appetizers and cocktails while we revealed our newest creation.

Supersonic Superstar – Dr. Robb
This week’s Supersonic Superstar is the one and only Dr. Robb Akridge, Ph.D. Dr. Robb is the co-founder of Clarisonic and is Vice President of Clinical Affairs. Besides being the “face of Clarisonic,” Dr. Robb oversees the design and implementation of all in-house clinical studies, external research contracts and clinical trials. He is the primary liaison between key dermatology opinion leaders and researchers. Prior to coming to Pacific Bioscience Laboratories, Dr. Robb was the principal scientist at Sonicare, and held clinical trial management positions at ICOS Corporation and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Science degree in Biology from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, and a Doctorate in Microbiology with an emphasis in Infectious Disease and Immunology from Texas A&M University. When he’s not in the lab Dr. Robb can be seen hob-nobbing with celebrities at events around the nation and is quickly becoming recognizable as the face behind Clarisonic. We couldn’t do what we do without Dr. Robb so we found it fitting that he be crowned the inaugural Supersonic Superstar.
