Give yourself and a friend the gift of beautiful skin!
We need our Sonic fans to help us spread the Sonic Cheer this holiday season! Over the past two years, we loved your Clarisonic jingles. This year, the Clarisonic Elf is back with more Sonic Gifts!
From Mia the Clarisonic to the tune of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, to Cleansing All The Way to the tune of Jingle Bells, the Clarisonic Elf is so excited to see what amazing sonic jingles you will come up with this year.
Our Clarisonic Elves in the workshop need lots of new jingles so we plan to have multiple winners per week depending on the number of jingles and creativity. Hint, Hint: The more music, the more products the Clarisonic Elves make to giveaway. Each winner will receive a Clarisonic of his/her choice and one to gift to a friend- ‘tis the season for giving!
The contest starts November 29, 2011 and ends at 11:59pm PST December 24, 2011. You can enter your sonic jingle in the comments on Sonic Chatter, Facebook, and Twitter. Be sure to include #SonicJingle if you are entering on Twitter and just another hint, the Clarisonic Elf loves videos!
Remember to tell your friends and family so they can enter too and increase your chances of winning! Winners will be announced on our blog, Facebook page and on Twitter each Monday. Good luck and have a Happy #SonicHoliday this year!

Dashing through my skin
in pink, blue, white and gray
o’er my pores we go
cleansing all the way
after a minute it rings
…Making my skin so bright
What fun it is to cleanse and sing my
Clarisonic song tonight
We are celebrating the Evolution of Skin Care with Weekday Mia Giveaways in the month of July! It’s time to think beyond the washcloth. Skin care has come a long way since the days of soap made with ashes and seeds in 2800 B.C. Over the next month we will take you on an educational journey into the evolution of skin care and share with you all there is to know about skin care’s latest cleansing innovation, Clarisonic’s patented sonic oscillation technology.
Every weekday in July starting July 5th, we will provide you with history, facts and fun information about the history of skin care and Clarisonic. Ever wonder how the Clarisonic works within your skin’s natural elasticity to provide 6x’s better cleansing than your hands alone but still remain gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin? What was Cleopatra’s skin care go to? Why is the Clarisonic the preferred facial brush by professionals, celebrities and 85,000 adoring fans online? What’s the difference between spinning rotary and sonic oscillation cleansing? What’s next for Clarisonic and how can you be empowered to take beauty and the future of your skin’s health into your own hands?
Learn the answers to these questions and more by participating in our daily quizzes here on Sonic Chatter as well as Facebook and Twitter. Your correct answers will enter you in that day’s drawing for a chance to win a Clarisonic Mia of your choice!*
Enjoy and good luck!
* Winners will be chosen at random and announced the following business day. Only one entry per day per person.
We love taking vacations but we can’t risk taking a vacation from our skincare. We often recommend the Clarisonic Mia for traveling because of its compact size, but many fans also take their full size systems on-the-go as well. Depending on where you are traveling to, you might wonder, will my Clarisonic work?
The Clarisonic Mia, PLUS and PRO all have a universal charger or charging cradle. The universal charger is compatible with international and domestic outlets (100-240 Volts AC; 50/60Hz), with the respective country plug adapter. Therefore, these Clarisonic systems are capable of working worldwide.
If the shape of the plug does not fit the outlet, use an attachment plug adapter of the proper configuration for the power outlet. Most travel stores sell these common county-specific adapters.
Remember, when fully charged, the Clarisonic Mia lasts for 20, 1-minute uses and the PLUS and PRO last for 30, 1-minute uses (20, 1-minute uses with the body brush attachment). If your vacation is only a week long, you may not even need to bring your charger or charging cradle.
Now the only other issue is how to fit your skincare products into those tiny bottles. Good luck and happy travels!
We recently launched the Turquoise Mia and during the month of March we will be adding two more colors to the Clarisonic Mia family! In honor of Mia Madness this month, we would like to name our very own Fan of the Month! What better way to celebrate than by honoring one of our fans for the month on the Clarisonic Facebook page!
We will award the winner with TWO of the new Clarisonic Mia Cleansing Systems- one for the winner and one to gift to a friend! In addition, the winner will be featured in our Facebook profile picture with their prize! Be sure to encourage your friends to enter so you have a better chance of winning!

While we were celebrating our partnership with Look Good…Feel Better® at the AFI FEST 2010 in Hollywood in November, we garnered some amazing celebrity autographs on Limited Edition Hope Mia® Sonic Cleansing Systems. With the Oscars season now in full swing, we are now conducting an auction to raise more needed funds for Look Good…Feel Better. We will be donating 100% of the selling price of each autographed unit. In the spirit of the Academy Awards, here are some of the Mias to be auctioned.
Colin Firth is nominated for Best Actor in The King’s Speech. Mr. Firth won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in January. He plays King George VI of Britain who has a speech impediment and must overcome it with his speech therapist to prove to be a worthy king.
Winona Ryder, a former Oscar recipient, appears in Black Swan which is nominated for Best Picture and Best Film Editing. A ballet dancer is torn between her natural role of the white swan and the emerging role of the black swan in her company’s upcoming production of “Swan Lake”. Winona Ryder plays the former star of the ballet company in her supporting role. Co-star, Mila Kunis was given the inaugural Clarisonic Empowered Woman of the Year at the premiere of Black Swan.
Ryan Gosling’s costar, Michelle Williams, is nominated for Best Actress in Blue Valentine. The film centers on the changes in the relationship of a married couple from when they met to present day. Ryan Gosling was a nominee at this year’s Golden Globes for Best Actor.
Don’t miss your chance to own an award nominated, and possibly winning, Limited Edition Clarisonic Hope Mia Sonic Cleansing System. Check out the auction!
We often receive inquiries from Clarisonic users regarding the different brush head options for the Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing System. With all the fabulous options to choose from it can be tricky deciding which one is right for you! Here are some common questions and answers to give you better insight on choosing a brush head.
What brush head came with my Clarisonic?
- Clarisonic Mia Sonic Cleansing System: Sensitive Brush Head.
o Limited Edition Hope Mia comes with a Sensitive Pink Brush Head.
- Clarisonic Classic Sonic Cleansing System: Sensitive Brush Head.
o The Graphite Gray model comes with a Normal Brush Head.
- Clarisonic PLUS Sonic Cleansing System: Sensitive Brush Head.
- Clarisonic PRO Sonic Cleansing System: Sensitive Brush Head.
o The Graphite Gray model comes with a Normal Brush Head.
What are the different types of brush heads?
The available brush heads are: Delicate, Sensitive, and Normal. These are compatible on all of our units. The Body Brush is available for the PLUS and PRO models only.
Why is the sensitive brush head standard?
We have found this to be our most popular brush head. Therefore, this brush head is included with every new Clarisonic.
Which brush head is best for my skin?
Everyone’s skin is different and we suggest you listen to your skin when selecting a brush head. If you want a deeper cleanse, the normal brush head is slightly stiffer. If you are experiencing dry patches or irritation, you might want to try the sensitive or delicate brush head. The delicate brush head is also designed for extra sensitive skin or for those suffering from complicated skin conditions.
Can I use the body brush on the Clarisonic Mia Sonic Cleansing System?
No. The Body Brush is only compatible with the PLUS and PRO models.
Does each model require a different type of brush head?
No. All facial brush heads work on any model (The Body Brush is only compatible with the PLUS and PRO models).
Does the brush head spin?
No. The brush head oscillates (back and forth motion) to provide a more gentle cleansing experience.
Can I share a brush head with another person?
We strongly recommend using separate brush heads because your skins differ in condition and we want you to achieve optimal results.
Do I need to clean my brush head?
Yes. While you may believe you are cleaning your brush head every time you cleanse, we suggest cleaning the brush head once a week using an antibacterial cleanser. For a more detailed tutorial on brush head cleaning, please read our previous Sonic Chatter Post: How Do I Clean My Brush Head?
Hopefully we answered some of the common brush head questions. If not, please feel free to ask us in the comments!
December brings festive warm spiked drinks (pass the ‘nog!), family gatherings, your reacquaintance with goose down and of course, the annual mad rush to buy gifts for everyone on your ever-growing list. And is there any better gift than those of the beauty variety? I love them because few recipients would shun a grooming gift. Plus? They manage to seem incredibly personal, though they work for even your most vague associate. Here, my best beauty present recommendations:
The Clarisonic Mia
($149 at clarisonic.com)
These adorable multi-colored skin care saviors are perfectly portable and provide a great introduction to the wonder that is the Clarisonic experience. I like to think of it as The Gateway Clarisonic. I don’t leave town without mine. I simply tote it along with a decanted version of my face wash and scrub. One of these will set you back $149, compared to the Clarisonic Classic’s more robust $195 price tag.
Patyka Refreshing Spearmint Body Wash
($45 at newlondonpharmacy.com)
I love mint in all its various forms. I recently fell so deeply in love with a pack of Carefree Extra gum (Dessert Delights, Mint Chocolate Chip flavor) that I am going to dedicate a full blog post to it. But I find that in the beauty space, spearmint gets precious little press and I’m here to remedy that situation right now. Patyka’s newly revamped scented shower gel evokes the crisp vibe of a fresh sprig of mint but manages to impart just a subtle fragrance post-shower.
Josie Maran Love Nest Josie’s Argan Favorites
($25, exclusive to Sephora)
This is the best deal in the GALaxy. I adore Josie Maran’s natural makeup items and this limited-edition set includes everything you need to look flawlessly beautiful. The set contains an Argan Color Stick in Petal Pink (the perfect shade—it flatters my skin tone utterly), Gogo Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara (won’t dry out brittle lashes), Argan Illuminizer (a makeup bag MVP—it highlights and can be used instead of shadow in a pinch) and 100% Argan Oil (use it to hydrate your face, your split ends, your cuticles—everything!). If a better deal exists, I sure as heckfire don’t know about it.

As part of our AFI Fest sponsorship Clarisonic is hosting a VIP Green Room at the historic Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Every night before each Gala Premiere, celebs are ushered into the Green Room to relax before their movie begins. They use their free time to learn more about Clarisonic and the Look Good…Feel Better partnership.
We are so honored to have hosted some fabulous talent this week, including Diego Luna, Zoe Saldana, Gael Garcia Bernal, Rachel Lefevre, Jon Lovitz, Barry Pepper and Spencer Garrett. They each took a moment out of their busy night to sign a Limited Edition Clarisonic Hope Mia. These units will be auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going to Look Good…Feel Better.
