Backstage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

This year at the Mercedes Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week, Clarisonic proved that a sonic skin care regimen is the secret ingredient to giving models a runway-ready glow. Our celebrity esthetician Eileen Harcourt was backstage at the Chris Benz and VPL shows last week prepping models with Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing and Opal Sonic Infusion systems.

Sonic Cleansing

Running from show to show and attending glamorous Fashion Week parties can be taxing on a model’s skin, but thankfully Clarisonic was able to come to the rescue! Here Eileen uses the New York Skyline Mia – which launched in honor of Fashion Week — to remove existing makeup and create a clear canvas for makeup and allowed them to apply foundations and concealers evenly.

Sonic Infusion

A week’s worth of shows from day to night can leave a model with dreaded dark circles. Thankfully the Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion acted as the magic wand to revive tired eyes. Skin is always in at VPL! Models rocked a neutral look with little eye makeup and a nude lip. Makeup Artists used little makeup on the models, so it was up to the Clarisonic team to make each model’s skin shine with sonic cleansing. Eileen and her talented staff made sure each model had the fresh look the VPL designers desired. As the models made their way down the runway with slicked back hair, their glowing skin took center stage.

At Chris Benz, the inspiration was “hot summer nights” and Warhol superstars such Candy Darling. The 1960s inspired look featured big hair, burnt orange lips and a sea foam green eye. The sonic cleansing with Clarisonic allowed these mod models to rock these vibrant designer duds.

Clarisonic Backstage at Amsale Bridal Fashion Show

Clarisonic was a hit backstage again, this time at the Amsale Bridal Fashion Show. Nestled in the heart of New York’s famed Garment District, the show celebrated well-known Ethiopian bridal designer Amsale and her collections for Spring 2011. Clarisonic partnered with celebrity esthetician Eileen Harcourt to prep models with Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing and Opal Sonic Infusion systems, helping them achieve the “skin lit from within” look.

Clean, fresh skin is a must for creating the ideal foundation for a perfect bridal look, and this show was no exception. While working on the models, Harcourt offered some tips for brides to be who want to “reveal their true beauty” on their special day:

Start cleansing with Clarisonic Sonic Skin Cleansing System (face and body) and infusing with Opal Sonic Infusion System at least a month before the big day to see the best results.

No bride is ever too young to use the Opal! It provides a smooth, lifted appearance and opens up tired eyes.

Clarisonic at Lingerie New York Fundraiser

Clarisonic was thrilled to participate backstage at Lingerie New York 2010, a fundraiser held at Cipriani benefiting The Seven Bar Foundation, an organization that helps to sustainably finance underprivileged women to start businesses through microloans.

Celebrity esthetician Eileen Harcourt used the Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System and the Opal Sonic Infusion System on models for glamorous skin reminiscent of “1930s Hollywood,” the theme of the evening. As you can see, the models were thrilled to be getting the Clarisonic treatment!

Harcourt also used the Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System on models’ lips to exfoliate and fully prep for the sensual red lipstick. She also applied the new Dr. Robb Renewal Body Serum on models’ arms and hands to give them all-over smooth, sexy skin.

The stars were also out that night in support of The Seven Bar Foundation, including Sofia Vergara of ABC’s “Modern Family,” pictured with models in full makeup, hair and costume.

Clarisonic was a hit for the second day in a row at New York Fashion Week. Our celebrity esthetician Eileen Harcourt was backstage at the Chris Benz show Monday afternoon prepping models with Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing and Opal Sonic Infusion systems. Several of the models remembered Harcourt from previous fashion events and couldn’t wait to get their Clarisonic facial!

The theme of Chris Benz’s show was “An All-American Girl in Paris,” and Harcourt want to accentuate that theme with an “All-American Glow” look for each model with the help of the Opal Sonic Infusion System. By the time the models went through hair, makeup and wardrobe, they were truly looking their best!

Harcourt also brought along the cute Blue Mia – the newest Mia color – for models and fashion press to check out. (To order your own Blue Mia click here.) But the biggest backstage surprise of the day came when the famous YouTube beauty blogger, Michelle Phan, stopped by the Clarisonic station and raved about how much she loved all the products!

Clarisonic Hits New York Fashion Week: Backstage at VPL

Despite the early 7:45 a.m. call time on Sunday, models at the VPL show at New York Fashion Week – rarely known for their punctuality – were right on time to ensure they had a chance to get a Clarisonic facial from celebrity esthetician Eileen Harcourt.

A thorough cleansing is the first step in any skincare routine, and Harcourt says she wouldn’t even recommend applying moisturizer to the face unless it had a Sonic Cleansing first.

The look for the VPL show was “dewy and glowing,” and Harcourt noted that skin was considered an accessory. Makeup artists used little makeup on the models, so it was up to the Clarisonic team to make each model’s skin shine with Sonic Cleansing System and Opal Sonic Infusion System.
