Do you want a Clarisonic but aren’t sure which system to buy? Dr. Robb tells us whether there are cleansing differences between the systems. For more information to help you make your decision, check out Dr. Robb’s post on the difference between the sonic cleansing systems!
Dr. Robb says, yes you will! The technology is the same whether you have Mia or Clarisonic PLUS or PRO. They use the same Sonic Technology to oscillate your skin back and forth over 300 times a second to deeply cleanse you skin, and get your skin six times better cleansed than you can by hand.
The first sign of aging that most people notice are eye wrinkles. These wrinkles, as well as the dark circles and bags that accompany them, may begin to appear when a person is still in their twenties and can become more noticeable with the passage of time. The Opal does wonders for the eye, but will it work on the rest of your face? See what Dr. Robb has to say in the video below!
Yes, anywhere where you have crepey dry skin, it is also perfectly fine to use it between the eyes and around the mouth. People love the way it feels and how their skin looks after using Opal Sonic Infusion.
We know the Clarisonic is a skinvestment, so you want to make sure that your sonic system will be with you for the long-haul! In today’s video, Dr. Robb tells us how long you can expect your Clarisonic to last.
Dr. Robb says: Believe it or not, we have a bazillion engineers here at Clarisonic that do tests on the units all the time. One of the tests they do is the “bench life test” where they plug in a Clarisonic and just let it run. Based on those tests we know that your Clarisonic should last 3-5 years easily.
How long have you had your Clarisonic? Let us know in the comments!
Clarisonic is safe for everyday use, but can it be used along with Retin-A or another chemical exfoliant? Dr. Robb gives us the answer in today’s video!
Dr. Robb says it depends on your skin type, some people can, and some people can’t. Remember those are chemical exfoliates removing the outer layers of the skin to give you the new healthier skin that lies below. Just listen to your skin as you are using it. The Clarisonic is perfectly safe to use every day, but when you use topicals that are using a chemical exfoliate for your skin; your skin may say, “Hold off for a while” but normally, every day is fine.
Have you ever used a chemical exfoliant like Retin-A along with the Clarisonic? Tell us below!
She’s beautiful, she’s charming, and she loves using the Clarisonic! Jenna Elfman is truly a woman after our own hearts! Jenna is best known as Dharma from the hit ABC television show “Dharma and Greg” (1997). She most recently appeared in “Friends with Benefits” alongside Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.
We were recently excited to learn that Jenna has been using the Clarisonic for years! She had a few nice things to say:
“I love my Clarisonic! I use it every day– it makes a noticeable difference in the smoothness of my skin. I’ve even gotten a few friends hooked on it as well! An excellent product. Thanks Clarisonic!”
Awww, we’re blushing! Thanks for being such an enthusiastic member of the Clarisonic family, Jenna! We wish you luck with all of your upcoming projects.

This year at the Mercedes Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week, Clarisonic proved that a sonic skin care regimen is the secret ingredient to giving models a runway-ready glow. Our celebrity esthetician Eileen Harcourt was backstage at the Chris Benz and VPL shows last week prepping models with Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing and Opal Sonic Infusion systems.
Running from show to show and attending glamorous Fashion Week parties can be taxing on a model’s skin, but thankfully Clarisonic was able to come to the rescue! Here Eileen uses the New York Skyline Mia – which launched in honor of Fashion Week — to remove existing makeup and create a clear canvas for makeup and allowed them to apply foundations and concealers evenly.
A week’s worth of shows from day to night can leave a model with dreaded dark circles. Thankfully the Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion acted as the magic wand to revive tired eyes. The Opal combines sonic micro-massage with proprietary anti-aging serum to work immediately on appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Skin is always in at VPL! Models rocked a neutral look with little eye makeup and a nude lip. Makeup Artists used little makeup on the models, so it was up to the Clarisonic team to make each model’s skin shine with sonic cleansing. Eileen and her talented staff made sure each model had the fresh look the VPL designers desired. As the models made their way down the runway with slicked back hair, their glowing skin took center stage.
At Chris Benz, the inspiration was “hot summer nights” and Warhol superstars such Candy Darling. The 1960s inspired look featured big hair, burnt orange lips and a sea foam green eye. The sonic cleansing with Clarisonic allowed these mod models to rock these vibrant designer duds.

Dr. Robb answers Karen from Facebook’s question about using the Clarisonic with a prescribed skincare routine such as Accutane. Find out what Dr. Robb suggests in the video below!
Dr. Robb says that it’s up to your skin care provider to tell you if it is safe to use your Clarisonic if you are using Accutane. But we do know there are a lot of people who are on Accutane and they can use the Clarisonic on a daily basis. We designed the Clarisonic to be gentle and effective even for people who have rosacea and acne rosacea ; but check with your skin care provider.
Congratulations to Karen Rossbach who has won a Clarisonic Mia for submitting this question!
