  • Ask Dr. Robb: Can I use my Clarisonic with my favorite cleanser?

Have you found a non-abrasive cleanser that works great with your skin? Dr. Robb tells you whether it is compatible for use with the Clarisonic!

Dr. Robb says: Yes, the Clarisonic is designed to work with all cleansers. We don’t recommend that use it with an exfoliating scrub that has harsh sharp little particles.  Like shells or anything pointy. If it has a round bead you can even use that on your face.  So, yes you can use any cleanser.

  • Ask Dr. Robb: Does the Clarisonic help with razor burns or red bumps?

Have you ever wondered whether the Clarisonic can help with razor burns or red bumps? Dr. Robb is here to answer the question in the video below!

Clarisonic is excellent for prepping the skin before you shave, like if you are shaving your legs. No problem, because if lifts the hair and gets all that dead skin away from the base of the hair. If you are talking about ingrown hairs, that’s a medical condition and at Clarisonic we don’t make any claims on medical conditions.

  • Ask Dr. Robb: Will the Opal help alleviate the look of aging around my eyes?

Dr. Robb tells us how using the Opal to deeply hydrate the skin around your eyes can alleviate the signs of aging.

Yes, when we invented the Clarisonic Opal, we wanted to hydrate the area around your eye better than you can with your finger.  Hydration is critical to diminish the signs of aging because as your skin loses all the moisture, it becomes dry and puffy, and you will have a lot of problems with the signs of aging. So what you want to do is use your Opal everyday twice a day to help you get the rejuvenated eye look.

  • That’s a Wrap!

Thank you for supporting Look Good…Feel Better by watching our Glamour Reel Moments films. For every film view, Glamour Magazine will donate $1 to the cause. In honor of the empowering stories and our inspiring directors, Clarisonic made a $250,000 donation to Look Good…Feel Better to aid in continuing their work helping women with appearance-related side effects of cancer treatments.

At the premiere, we asked attendees to write a quote on our wall of empowerment. What empowering quote would you add to the wall? • Ask Dr. Robb: Should I take my makeup off before using my Clarisonic?

Whether your face is made up for stage or you’re an everyday beauty, this video will tell you whether you should remove your makeup before using the Clarisonic.

Dr. Robb says it depends on how much makeup you use. If you are a professional, using stage makeup and you are in front of the cameras and your makeup is really thick and heavy, then yes, definitely remove some of it before using the Clarisonic; but for the average person, no problem.

  • Ask Dr. Robb: Will I get the same results with any one of the systems?

Do you want a Clarisonic but aren’t sure which system to buy? Dr. Robb tells us whether there are cleansing differences between the systems. For more information to help you make your decision, check out Dr. Robb’s post on the difference between the sonic cleansing systems!

Dr. Robb says, yes you will! The technology is the same whether you have Mia or Clarisonic PLUS or PRO. They use the same Sonic Technology to oscillate your skin back and forth over 300 times a second to deeply cleanse you skin, and get your skin six times better cleansed than you can by hand.

  • Lights! Camera! Action!

This year, Clarisonic was the official sponsor of Glamour Reel Moments. The Glamour Reel Moments program was established in 2004 to place more women in the director’s chair and bring Glamour reader’s stories to the big screen. Eva Longoria, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde join the other 19 A-list actresses who have pushed stereotypes aside and stepped behind the camera to direct a short filmed inspired by real-life stories.  We got the inside access and are bringing it to you, our fans!

The three actresses discussed their directorial experiences on a panel during a luncheon hosted by Glamour and Clarisonic. The luncheon gave these new directors a platform to discuss the lack of female directors in the film industry; noting that only 7% of directors are women.

All three ladies noted the difference of being an actress to being a director and in taking on their movie themes of empowerment, discussed these nuances candidly with the crowd of film and beauty bloggers.  Zoe noted that the experience was empowering and made her dream of directing a sci-fi film come true. Eva’s insight into her directorial debut showed that the actress liked the feeling of power of behind the camera best stating, “As an actor, you just hope they edit things right and make you look good. As a director, everything is in your hands. You become very insightful and sharp real quick!”

When asked about why there is a lack of female made movies, Eva chimed in that the real project is to move the ball down the court. Olivia seconded that, by noting that someone has to be the first and Zoe noted that the pressure isn’t only on the industry but the audience – stating that people need to watch the movies women make for producers to want to make them.

Eva, Zoe and Olivia all agree that women don’t have to lose their femininity to lead a film crew. They also agree women need to work with men and share the success with other women. But don’t think these women believe they can do it without their masculine counterparts;  Zoe rounded out the conversation of empowering women in film by beaming, “We need them! I love men.”

As you can see in these photos; these beautiful and strong leading ladies are taking films into their own hands.

Clarisonic and Glamour are proud to present these films to our fans and in the spirit of empowerment evident in these films, every film view will raise $1 for Look Good…Feel Better. Sit back, enjoy our films and let us know what you think! http://bit.ly/sfRVQK >Read More
