Be so careful with what you use to clean this! My mom used some makeup brush cleaner. She's so good with her skin, and always has taken wonderful care of it. Whatever was in this brush cleaner somehow didn't rinse all the way off, and she had a reaction like nothing you've ever seen! And it worsened her existing lines irrevocably. She obviously regrets it and acknowledges that it was her fault, but just cautioning everyone. That's why I'm researching EXACTLY what to use. We both love the Clarisonic though

I have been using my Clarisonic for a months now. During the first 2 weeks I did seen an amazing difference . Now I am breaking out alittle and dont see any more improvment, Why? Also I s safe to use twice a day? My last question is it safe while having some botox done?

Hi Terry. Some Clarisonic users experience an initial purging of deep down impurities with the Clarisonic. This can last up to a few weeks. Another option would be to switch to the delicate brush head and also use a lower speed provided you have the PLUS or Classic model. Thanks!

I am 64 years old and have always taken very good care of my skin so was excited to purchase my Clarisonic unit for deeper cleaning, I have used it for two different periods now, each period being about two weeks long and have experienced both times a severe breakout, of which I am not accustomed, with what appear to be subacous cysts. (They are hard whiteheads that will not let me extract them.) I have used Philosophy Purity for years so I don't think that I am reacting to that. Do you think it could be the sonic treatment that could cause something like this. I really do need your advice and help with this. I love your product and would hate to discontinue using it but maybe it isn't for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Terry Gibb

I have had no ill effects by cleansing my Clarisonic brush with an anti-bacterial cleaner. Since the brush is rinsed thoroughly after cleansing, there should be no residue of the cleanser to come in contact with your skin. I, however, have not used a cleanser exclusively for make-up brushes. I use an anti-bacterial hand soap or dishwashing soap both with my Clarisonic and all of my make-up brushes. You want to keep anything that touches your face as free from bacteria as possible. That's why we need to change mascara often and replace our makeup regularly. We get enough skin problems without causing them.

I use an anti-bacterial make-up brush cleaner. I've always been paranoid that it's not suited for cleaning something that washes my face...even though I use it on my foundation brush (which is my ONLY make-up brush).
